KUALA LUMPUR: G Capital Bhd’s (GCAP) 70%-owned subsidiary, Solarcity Malaysia Sdn Bhd has completed the installation and commenced operation of a 309.28 KWp Solar Photovoltaic electric power generation system (Solar PV System).
The solar PV is for the supplemental power purchase agreement (PPA) with Muda Paper Converting Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Muda Holdings Bhd inked on May 30.

"I’m pleased to witness the completion and commissioning of 309.28 KWp add-on to Muda Paper Converting. All these small yet crucial delivery of promises will help Malaysia in reaching the target set in Renewable Energy Transition Roadmap 2035,” executive director Datuk Yap Yee Ping said in a statement.
The plant will be contributing revenue and earnings to GCAP over a span of 25 years from Aug 19, 2022, the commercial operation date.
“With the completion of the 309.28 KWp solar PV systems in Simpang Ampat, this brings our total installed solar PV systems capacity to 15.6MWp inception-to-date,” Yap said.
